College of Engineering held an electronic workshop under the auspices of the University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri, on encoding images based on the programmable logic gate matrix with the participation of a number of instructors and specialized researchers. The workshop aimed to define the importance of information security and modern methods for encrypting data within images.
The workshop indicating on the possibility of implementing cryptographic algorithms in a practical way by using a programmable logic gate matrix because of its speed in performance and possibility of reprogramming it in appropriate to the field of application.
A research team at College of Engineering of Al Iraqia University was able to build a developed system for detecting those infected with COVID-19, using X-Ray Image and a CT-Scan.
The innovative system was characterized by the use of artificial intelligence techniques and deep learning algorithms, and through the results of the research team consisting of Dr. Bilal Rashid Abdul Majeed and the two students Aya Badir and Jihan Salman, to turns out that the system is able to distinguish those infected with the emerging virus with an accuracy of up to 99%.
